Kate Gardiner: 

Kate is an illustrator who lives and works in Portland, Maine. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Maine College of Art in 2020. She was the recipient of the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation grant in 2017 as well as the Albert K. Murray grant from 2017-2020. Kate is currently working on illustrating her first picture book, which is forthcoming from HarperCollins/Balzer + Bray. Publication is scheduled for fall 2023. She is also currently a creative and administrative assistant for Illustration Institute, and was co-curator for their recent exhibit The Art of Mending.
