Anita Kunz is one of the great illustrators of our time. Anita’s brilliant career is varied, her work evocative, her illustration skills masterful and unique. Not only will you be treated to travel through her development as an illustrator with behind-the-scenes info, you’ll work with her to develop ideas through to completion for a New Yorker cover...you definitely don’t get to do that every day! Kunz will share her work and influences including specific New Yorker projects. Using the New Yorker covers as examples, Kunz will discuss idea generation. Working in groups, class will come up with their own ideas and present them. Afternoon session will take the idea further, create sketches and move toward finished art.
