Join us for an intimate evening with award winning author/illustrator Barbara McClintock as she delves into the intricacies and delights of developing a picture book. Her varied style and the topics she tackles add to the rich vibrancy of her career. Barbara’s books include the Adele & Simon series, classics with a contemporary flair such as A Child’s Garden of Verses and Animal Fables from Aesop to her newest Five Forms and Nothing Stopped Sophie.
Her long list of titles attest to her true mastery of technique, wit and storytelling. Barbara has illustrated and/or written over 40 picture books for children. Her books have won five NY Times Best Illustrated Books awards, three ALA notable book citations, and a Boston Globe/Horn book Honor, among many other awards, citations, and starred reviews.
FUN UPDATE! Barbara will be joined by her agent, Jennie Dunham, of Dunham Literary, to share insights on the agent/artist relationship over Barbara’s career.
