The beautiful picture book King of Ragtime, the Story of Scott Joplin will be the focus of Stephen Costanza's library presentation. Engaging for all ages, this delightful event will explore Stephen's process of writing and creating a picture book based on the beloved American composer and pianist Scott Joplin. Costanza will share his inspiration and research, along with multiple original paintings and sketchbooks with the audience. He will play several Joplin ragtime tunes on piano, further illustrating his knowledge and passion for Scott Joplin's contribution to our musical heritage. He will also preview the just released book When Auggie Learned to Play Chess written by Meredith Rusu and illustrated by Stephen Costanza, which is already garnering critical acclaim!
