We are delighted to bring Maira Kalman to Maine. Maira has been a unique visual storyteller for a myriad of publications - the New Yorker, the New York Times, in picture books (the MAX series) Strunk & White’s Elements of Style, and her own special passion projects - Principals of Uncertainty, The Pursuit of Happiness, Still Life with Remorse, and Women Holding Things. Her newest book in progress is JOY. Maira is an American artist, illustrator, writer, and designer known for her painting and writing about the human condition. She is the author and illustrator of over 30 books for adults and children and her work is exhibited in museums around the world.
