ILLUSTRASAURUS
Illustration Institute is proud to present Illustrasaurus, an exhibition curated to capture the uniquely rich subject of dinosaur art. On display are rare historical works, contemporary paleo art and much-beloved children’s book illustrations. This show explores the centuries-long collaboration between paleontology and illustration that has informed our understanding of these extinct animals, a showcase of our favorite dinosaurs, and above all, a love letter to the most incredible creatures to ever walk the earth.

CHRIS VAN DUSEN: CREATING HATTIE AND HUDSON

Join renowned author/illustrator Chris Van Dusen for a presentation on how he designs his characters, namely the plesiosaur Hudson from his book Hattie and Hudson. Chris will show his original unpublished illustrations for Hudson and other characters and talk about his process of writing and illustrating the stories you know and love.
PALEONTOLOGY: RAISING ANCIENT LIFE FROM THE FOSSIL RECORD (DEAD DINOSAURS RISING)

Grab a sketchbook and set out on foot into polar bear country! Join illustrator Claire Loon Baldwin as she shares a first-hand illustrated account of the intrepid scientists in Northeastern Greenland National Park. In this world without roads, polar bears and musk oxen roam wild under the midnight sun. These scientists have journeyed to the ends of the earth to study 2,000 climate data variables, and gain critical insight into the climate's future.
