Eric Rohmann has illustrated beloved picture books and young adult novels including The Golden Compass series by Phillip Pullman, Bless This Mouse by Lois Lowry, as well as many titles written by his wife, Candace Fleming. My Friend Rabbit and Time Flies written and illustrated by Eric have won Caldecott awards and are New York Times Bestselling Books. 

Romann says: I make books I want to see that haven’t been made yet. I make books for kids because they are the best audience: children are curious, enthusiastic, impulsive, generous and pleased by simple joys. They laugh easily at the ridiculous and are willing believe the absurd. Children are not ironic, disillusioned or indifferent, but hopeful, open-minded and openhearted, with a voracious hunger for pictures.

Also an esteemed children’s book author, Candace welcomes teaching opportunities with school groups and adult audiences at professional conferences, festivals and other popular literary events. Specializing in creating engaging non-fiction, she and her husband, Eric Rohmann frequently collaborate, most notably on the recent award winning The Giant Squid and The Honeybee. 
Eric and Candace will present about their individual creative process as well as their process of working together.
